I know from experience what it is like to be a "newbie" to marketing a product online. It can be very frustrating and intimidating, to say the least. A person can very easily become overwhelmed by all the information and eventually they just want to throw in the towel. It can become so confusing.

Well, I know for one thing that it does take a lot of perseverance, to put it mildly. It does take trial and error and at times it may seem like it is more error than anything else. However, I do believe that it is possible to succeed online. Whether it is being an affiliate or having your own product and website, I feel that it can be done.

One thing I have learned through all of the time I have spent trying to "make it" is that a person needs to stay focused. If you are posting to a forum, forget about looking at the other posts, just post and move on. Don't waste your time looking at something that someone is trying to sell you. You are not there to purchase something, you are there to sell something, just like they are. So, even if it looks so tempting and you think this might be the one....keep going. That is my advice on that.

You also need to realize that it takes time and effort to make something work. The internet "riches" are not going to just land in your lap. So, do not believe it when someone tells you that you will become a millionaire overnight without lifting a finger. It isn't going to happen. It would be nice, but it doesn't work that way. You will need to put time and effort into whatever it is you want to promote online. Patience is a virtue. I know this one very well, because I am not known to be the most patient person in the world!

Whenever you get to thinking that you want to just chuck it all and say forget it, just remember that it is feasible and that you can make it online. You have to keep in mind what I mentioned earlier and have real expectations.

Do not expect to become rich overnight. Do not expect to have someone else do all of the work for you. Do not think that it won't take time and effort, because it will. These are my 3 important DO NOTS of internet marketing for the newbie.
